Assurance 3, 4, and 6 sections of the Spring 2021 Education Plan prepared for you
As a global leader in assessment, reading, and math solutions for pre-K–12 schools and districts, Renaissance is committed to providing educators with insights and resources to accelerate growth and help all students build a strong foundation for success. This is especially critical now during this time of unprecedented change in how education is delivered to students.
The FCSA is proud to partner with Renaissance to help our member schools navigate the new classroom norm. The team at Renaissance stands ready to help charter school leaders with their Spring 2021 Education Plan and have even done the work for you.
“We have prepared guidance for the submission of the Spring 2021 Education Plan regarding our solutions including the Star assessments, Accelerated Reader, myON Reader, and Freckle,” explains Dawn McKeel, Renaissance.
The guidance, available here, outlines progress monitoring and interventions for all students, including tiered support for students not making adequate progress. The tools identified in the plan have a proven track record of success, They are also an affordable option — even for the smallest campus.
Renaissance solutions are used in over one-third of US schools and in more than 90 countries worldwide. The Renaissance portfolio includes Star Assessments, for reliable, accurate insights into K–12 student learning; myIGDIs, for accurate assessment of early learning; myON, to increase students’ access to high-quality reading materials; Accelerated Reader, to support independent reading practice; and Freckle, for teacher-led differentiated instruction.
When school campuses initially closed due to the pandemic, the Alliance worked to connect charter school leaders. Principals were given a platform to share struggles, successes, and best practices and connect with colleagues. The goal was to make sure principals were connected with others who understood exactly what they were going through and provided the tools to successfully navigate the current education situation, We also connected principals with our Marketplace partners — like Renaissance — who have proven to be invaluable.
