July 3, 2025 – Orlando, FL – The 2025 National Charter Schools Conference (NCSC25) was a resounding success, bringing together charter school leaders, founders, board members, and stakeholders from across the country for a dynamic and enriching experience. Starlee Coleman, National Alliance for Public Charter Schools President and CEO, and her team did a great job curating a conference that kept attendees engaged and inspired to continue growing and improving charter schools nationwide.
The FCSA team attended several critically insightful breakout sessions that tackled pressing topics through expert-led discussions and practical takeaways. One of our favorite session was Education Savings Account and Charter Schools: New Opportunities in School Choice presented by Adam Emerson, Executive Director, Office of School Choice, Florida Department of Education; Keith Jacobs, Assistant Director, Provider Development at Step Up for Students; and Dr. Eddie Ruiz, Florida Superintendent, Charter Schools USA. “By giving parents, especially those who teach their children at home, easy opportunities to access higher-level educational opportunities while maintaining their customized scholarship option, we are providing ultimate flexibility. Schooling in the future will be all about flexible options, and this allows us to be on the forefront of this exciting endeavor,” said Dr. Eddie Ruiz, the Florida State Superintendent of Charter Schools USA. The exhibit hall did not disappoint. It buzzed with innovation, featuring cutting-edge products, services, and interactive demonstrations from leading organizations, including several FCSA Marketplace partners — Association of American Educators, The Baldwin Group, Baird, Cognia, EasySuite Software, ExtensisHR, Noble Education Initiative, Red Hook Capital Partners, Renaissance, SAP Concur, SMART Management Schools, and TechnologyLab,
Beyond the sessions, FCSA members took full advantage of networking events, such as the FCSA Member Appreciation reception, to foster meaningful connections and collaborations. The event not only sparked new ideas but also strengthened our community’s commitment to progress and excellence.
