The Florida Charter School Alliance (FCSA) will host a series of Meet the Candidates Forums to foster civic engagement and provide a platform for our stakeholders and community members to interact with candidates running for School Board offices in the upcoming elections.
“As a 501c3, the FCSA does not endorse any candidate. These forums will allow candidates to speak directly to and share their platform with our constituents — including parents and educators,” said Lynn Norman-Teck, FCSA executive director. “As a nonprofit, the FCSA is well-positioned to provide a space for open dialogue that will actively involve the public in the democratic process, and promote the understanding of the election process and the issues the candidates support.”
The forum will be moderated by Dr. Rafael (Tony) Arza, Education Consultant and Board Vice Chair of Florida Virtual School, who will facilitate a respectful and engaging discussion.
The events are open to the public, but capacity is limited. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP.
The FCSA is a non-profit, member-driven association representing public charter schools throughout the state and the more than 397,000 students they serve,
