April 2021 — The City of North Miami Beach recently approved a resolution honoring C.G. Bethel High School for its strong record of serving the community. A Proclamation was presented to students and faculty during the school’s second food distribution drive of the year.
The school’s Bethel Cares Community Service Initiative gives students and staff an opportunity to give back to their community through service projects and special events.
The Proclamation in part stated:
C.G. Bethel High School provides a unique learning environment for the young people of North Miami Beach and the adjoining area. In addition to educating its students with a technology-based and individualized curriculum, C.G. Bethel High School instills in each of its students a deep sense of social responsibility and willingness to become active and contributing members of the community.
Under the inspirational leadership of Principal Academic Officer Alejandro Madrigal, and supported by a dedicated team of educators and administrators, C.G Bethel High School engages students in civic duty and community involvement, as well as helps them identify meaningful opportunities to earn the required community service hours for graduation.
C.G. Bethel students have displayed an unlimited willingness to give of themselves for the greater good of the community. Whether it is food collection and distribution, donations of blood, or holiday toy drives, the students step forward with enthusiasm, and always strive to exceed the goals established for the charitable events.
G. Bethel High School follows the philosophy that every student, given the right tools, support, and environment, is capable of succeeding and exceeding their expectations. In addition to the high-quality education each Bethel student receives, they are also instilled with the pleasure of giving back to others – a characteristic that will help them, and their community, in the years to come.
