Counselors or designated mental health employees may use the instruments identified in an FLDOE memo dated August 30, 2019 when conducting a suicide risk assessment.

The instruments are: Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) and Suicide Assessment Five-Step Evaluation and Triage (SAFE-T).
