March 3, 2025 — Over the past three years, Charter School Associates (CSA) schools have on average, consistently shown remarkable progress in state assessment scores across English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Since the spring 2022 assessments, on average, CSA schools have demonstrated growth in 11 out of 12 evaluated areas, surpassing the state’s growth in 9 out of 12 areas. Notably, CSA schools have outperformed the state average, achieving a 10% average growth compared to the state’s 7%.
A key driver of this success is our students’ performance in Reading and English Language Arts. We have seen a 5.5% increase in overall proficiency over the past three years, with 63% of our students now proficient in reading, significantly higher than the state average of 53%. Furthermore, we have observed steady growth in learning gains for all students, including the bottom 25% of learners, demonstrating our commitment to equitable education.
Mathematics proficiency has also significantly contributed to our positive data trends. We have seen an impressive 11.7% increase in overall proficiency, with CSA schools achieving 63.4% proficiency on the most recent state assessments, compared to the state’s 55.2% average. This upward trajectory highlights the effectiveness of our data-driven approach and our dedication to continuous improvement.
Our commitment to academic excellence extends to our graduation rates. Over the past three years, on average, CSA has consistently outperformed the state average, achieving an impressive 96% graduation rate for the 2023-2024 school year. Our three-year average remains strong at 92%, reflecting our ability to maintain high standards across all our schools.
