August 10, 2024 — The Florida Charter School Alliance’s School Leaders Fellowship (SLF) is successfully preparing the next generation of exceptional charter school leaders. In just three years, three cohorts (comprised of forty participants) have graduated from the program and many Fellows are already leading a Florida charter school. The application period for Cohort 4/Class of 2024 opens on August 10, 2024. The deadline to apply is September 15, 2024.
Supported by a grant from the Florida Department of Education through the federal CSP grant, the SLF program partners with key veteran principals and charter school operations experts to deliver research-based curriculum, best practices, and state standards content to engage, empower, and cultivate the next generation of exceptional charter school leaders.
School Leaders Fellowship candidates must be educators working at a Florida charter school and interested in becoming assistant principals and principals. No prior administrative training is required. The program was designed to accommodate and capitalize on the varied levels of seniority and leadership experience of each of the Fellows. The program dives into the Florida Leadership Standards as well as best practices and state mandates of charter school operations. The Fellowship also creates opportunities for participants to share their expertise, bridge generational and leadership experience gaps, learn from one another, and make professional connections that will enhance and support the participants’ professional journey.
