Orange County, FL — At UCP (Unlocking Children’s Potential) Charter Schools, we aim to unlock the potential of every student. With a network of eight schools in Central Florida, what sets us apart is our commitment to providing a supportive and enriching environment for children with and without disabilities. UCP Bailes Academy Charter School, our Kindergarten through 8th grade Charter School, exemplifies just that.
By opening our classrooms to children of all abilities, UCP Charter Schools are breaking down barriers and teaching children at a very young age to embrace differences. Our unique education approach promotes a valuable skill set that creates stronger, more open leaders in the future.
Our Bailes Community Academy utilizes technology & arts to develop immersive STEAM-based lessons. Each of our classrooms is led by highly qualified and experienced teachers who welcome children and families into a learning community. We aim to provide essential support to retain and empower these dedicated professionals with grants such as Project ELEVATE (Elevating Learning by Empowering and Valuing Advancement of Teachers and other Educators).
UCP Bailes Community Academy Charter School provides support, education, and therapy services to each of our children and families, therefore creating a learning environment that unlocks the potential of every student.
In October 2023, the U.S. Department of Education Office of Elementary and Secondary Education awarded UCP Charter Schools a $5.1M three-year grant to help address teacher shortages, foster educator leadership, and ensure the highest quality of teaching and learning. UCP Charter Schools was the only awarded applicant from Florida. In addition, UCP Charter Schools recently received a new grant to expand and replicate high-quality charter schools and close the achievement gap for all learners. The $8.9M federal grant allows us to provide more children in Central Florida with access to a high-quality education that empowers them academically and socially and will be used to expand our program.
