American Classical Charter Raises Academic Performance

The Florida Department of Education released school grades on July 7, 2022, revealing that American Classical Charter Academy (ACCA) of St. Cloud posted outstanding results.  For the 2021-22 school year, ACCA improved in every single reading, math, and science category it was tested in compared to 2020-21. This year ACCA was tested in eight out of eight academic areas and posted a school grade of a “B” – with 485 points earned at 61 %- just one percentage point from an “A” rating, up from last year’s score of 33 %. In all eight of the state of Florida school grade rating categories Reading, Math, Science, and Civics,  ACCA out-paced the Osceola County School District by a total of 97 points –  four of the eight categories by double digits.

According to FLDOE, schools statewide exceeded expectations, with the 2021-22 grades marking the first full school grade data released since 2019. Some highlights: Fifty-three schools exited the school improvement support list in 2022, all schools graded ‘F’ in 2019 improved their grades in 2022, and 84% of schools graded ‘D’ and ‘F’ in 2019 improved grades in 2022. Statewide, the biggest gains were seen in elementary schools, where 1 in 5 schools improved by at least one letter.  Click here to access all the school grades.
